Visiting the Houston Zoo

This morning, Grandma, Lara, Jenn, Chad, and I took Clayton to the Houston Zoo. Besides a few rain showers at the beginning, we had a fantastic day. After spending a few hours at the zoo, we went to Barnaby's Cafe. It is a great local restaurant with fast service and delicious food. Clayton was the perfect baby during our outing. He was pooped by the end and slept for an hour and a half. We're really enjoying our visit to Houston. Tomorrow we plan to go to breakfast and then Clayton is going to sit in Santa's lap at the Galleria. I'm hoping this is a new Carroll family tradition!

Unfortunately, Chad and I left our camera in the car while at the zoo. Click here to check out Lara's blog. She took some really cute zoo pictures. Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Every year I am thankful for so many things in my life: Chad, my mom & dad, my sisters, my wonderful extended family, my friends, my health, and my great job. This year, however, my little Clayton takes the cake. Today, on his very first Thanksgiving, I am so grateful to have such a sweet, loving, wonderful son. How did I get so lucky?

Clayton enjoyed his yummy Thanksgiving meal!

Austin's Race for the Cure

Today Clayton and I spent the day with my parents and sisters. We started our day by walking in Austin's annual Race for the Cure. Lara and I have participated in it for a couple of years with friends. This year, though, my parents and Jenn drove into town to walk with us. My mom is a 2 year survivor of breast cancer so the event was very special for our family. Lara made adorable shirts for us and my Mom got to wear a survivor's pink t-shirt. My memory stick has been acting up the last couple of days, so I encourage you to check out my sisters' blog sites. Click here for Lara's. Click here for Jenn's.

As a family, we also enjoyed the Austin Celtic Festival and ate dinner at Taco Express on Saturday. It was a great weekend!! My sisters will have pictures from the rest of the weekend on their sites. Enjoy!
